Internships

Postions:

Various positions available in Production, Editorial, Online, Database, IT and Administration.

Weekly Time Commitment: Flexible according to student's availability and credit needs
Duration: Autumn, Spring, Winter, or Summer semester
Supervision: Report to the Departmental Manager
Location: Most of the work will take place in 247 Media's Head office based in north west London. Transportation support/stipends are available (ie. Travelcards, Mileage allowance).

Description:

Interns will work in the departments that best matches their vocational pursuits or career aspirations.

Departments Include:

  • Database: maintenance of databases
  • Online: website design
  • IT: network maintenance / programming
  • Editorial: research, proofreading and preparing written copy
  • Production: design of printed material (journals, books)

Qualifications:

  • Good verbal communication skills, both face-to-face and by telephone
  • Accurate data entry and word processing skills
  • Ability to work effectively and respectfully within diverse communities
  • Attention to detail

Preferences:

  • Strong computer skills, especially in desktop publishing/page layout and design, and web site maintenance/design.
  • Conversant in English

Benefits:

247 Media Group is unable to offer a stipend for this internship. We offer reimbursement for travel and lunch. This internship will increase student's working knowledge of a diverse media company; provide communications experience working with the media and business community; provide experience in a multimedia environment. Academic credit can be arranged with your educational establishment.

Due to a record breaking year in 2009, we are looking for dynamic Sales Executives to join our Corporate Sales Team.

247 Media Group is an international provider of business information. We have achieved exceptional growth of 50% in 2008 as a result of developing THE definitive business and healthcare publications and websites for senior professionals. 2009 has seen this impressive expansion continue.

To excel within 247 Media Group you must be confident, articulate with a passion for sales. You must combine dynamism and integrity with the ambition to exceed target. Successful Sales Executives will have opportunities for rapid progression to senior positions within a dynamic team, with promotion to management a reality for outstanding sales people. We also have vacancies for French, Spanish and Italian speakers.
